Fall Departed Spirits Tour Announced
The Lititz Moravian Museum & Archives Committee in conjunction with the Lititz Historical Foundation is excited to announce our Fall “Departed Spirits” tour! This year’s event is billed as “Departed Spirits of the Revolutionary War” and will feature, for the first time EVER, a public tour of the historic Brothers’ House third floor.
In this colonial, fully immersive environment, visitors will meet the departed souls of a Continental Army soldier and those who tended the sick and wounded when the Brothers’ House served as a hospital for George Washington’s troops between 1777 and 1778. In addition, visitors may interact with Revolutionary War re-enactors, examine up close an authentic Conestoga Wagon, and view a special exhibit of Revolutionary War documents and artifacts from the Moravian Archive’s collection. Walk in the same rooms where the Revolutionary War soldiers healed, lived, and died.
Tours will be offered Saturday, October 26 and Sunday, October 27, from 5-8 pm with a tour leaving every twenty minutes. Both nights are rain or shine.
**Be advised, tour participants will climb two flights of stairs to the third floor .. no strollers or very young children**
Tours will run from 5-8pm each evening on the following time slots, and is approximately 45 minutes in length: 5pm; 5:20pm; 5:40pm, 6pm; 6:20pm; 6:40pm; 7pm; 7:20pm; 8pm
