Moravian Art Camp Takes A Trip Around The World

For the fourth year the Lititz Moravian Congregation will be holding an Art Camp for children ages 3-12. This camp will be held at the Christian Education Building on Church Square from Monday through Friday, June 22 to 26, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. The campers can participate in painting, singing, dancing, yoga, crafts and much more according to the camp planners, who say it’s “creative fun for kids.”

Shannon Richard, a member of the Committee, explained, “Each day of the week will feature activities relating to our theme, ‘He’s got the whole world in His hands.’ We will take an exciting adventure around the world. Monday we will learn about North and South America, and on Tuesday we will visit Europe. Wednesday our activities will center on Asia. Thursday we will be thinking about Africa, and on Friday we’ll end the week with Australia.”

Tammy Wagner, who chairs the Committee, says, “We are blessed with an experienced group of volunteers.” This year’s Committee includes Pastor Mark Breland, Nancy Valudes, Shannon Richard, Christy Von Stetten, Jen Scott, Brenda Barnes and Jessica Kistler.

Richard reported, “There is no camp fee. Expenses are paid by the Church’s Christian Education program. We are so grateful for the support!” Wagner concluded, “Participation is limited to the first 60 children registered. All children in the community are welcome. Any child three-years of age or younger must be accompanied by an adult.” Anyone interested in registering a child should call the church office, 717-626-8515.
