The Praise Band

 “Glory Be Good,” after the song “Johnny Be Good,” is the name the Lititz Moravian band has taken for itself.  The band came together under the leadership of Pastor Dean Jurgen, a guitarist, who believes there is a place for contemporary music in the Moravian Church.  The band plays frequently for worship, but is equally prepared for social activities such as the Advent Tea, church suppers, or whenever Moravians gather for fellowship.  They enjoy such praise songs as All in All, Sanctuary, Lord Be Glorified, Trading My Sorrows, Lord I Lift Your Name on High, and Light the Fire. Currently the band includes guitars, string bass, mandolin, Melodica, lap drums and four vocalists. New members are welcome. Persons wanting information should call the Church Office, 626-8515.
