The Senior Choir, directed by Philip T. D. Cooper, provides anthems and leads congregational singing at the 10:30 a.m. Sunday worship service throughout the year. The 40-member choir is a volunteer group and welcomes new members at any time. The choir’s repertoire includes a wide selection of church music including 18th-century Moravian hymnody, classical compositions by the masters, African and folk hymns and contemporary praise tunes and traditional Gospel songs.

The Senior Choir carries major responsibility for the Christmas Vigils that are formed on the Singstunde model. More than 4,000 worshipers attend the six successive services and the Family Lovefeast. The Choir provides the same kind of support for the other Lovefeasts held throughout the year.

The Senior Choir rehearses Wednesday evenings at 7:30 p.m. and on Sunday mornings before the 10:30 a.m. service. Those with questions should call Mr. Cooper at 626-8515.
